TIRED of buying a new $15k Polaris buggy every three years so just purchased a 2014 Tacoma single cab 4x4 to be a farm truck. We have some decent elevation changes for FL (yes, they exist just a little) and the payloads are heavy.

Need most durable seat covers made, thinking cordura, Carhartt, etc. These trucks get run hard.

Plan to switch to a flat bed to allow better bed access to feed bags, etc. Looks like folks are good with UTE beds. I'd prefer one with cutouts for the rear wheels or similar so the entire bed isn't raised up but not a big deal.

We do have mud and a fair amount of trees down so a good front bumper to protect the truck with integrated winch seems like something I need.

I also need some strong flood light lightbar. I need it no lower that hood height for better projection I think. I'd prefer to roof mount but don't like it exposed on top to possible tree limb damage.

Some of these look good from your thread but was thinking I might need additional front end protection.

Any and all thoughts are appreciated. Complete taco newbie, thanks.

I would probably upgrade the tires to at least ATs so you aren’t spinning out if you encounter mud in road tires.

If it never goes in pavement snowchains are insane for mud traction. Or if you just have to deal with the rainy season. And you can run whatever bullshit tires you want, Being a Floridian you might have to special order those.

A straight bald tired with snow chains will spank any 400 dollar super mud tire.

That would be awesome but I do have pavement on the farm. Would love for some fellow Floridians to see that.

That’s kinda hard to answer. I’ve only ever ran General Grabber X3s (MTs). I think that as long as you aren’t flooring it down the road with any tire, you should be fine with any you can find a good deal on.
