hey guys! Couple quick questions. I have a 14, base single cab 5 lug. Not a fan of it sitting like an el Camino. I currently have 235/75/15 on the stock steels.

My goal is to get it looking like the stock pre runners, or 4x4 height wise... throw a cap on it and be done. I use the truck to haul bicycles or my paddle board... so the loss of power isn’t a concern.

I’ve spoken to a local 4x4 shop that can lift me 2.75 in the front, 1.75 rear to pick her up. Does anyone know how large I can go on the stock rims as far as tires? I’d like to fill the gaps in a little bit as i feel it’ll look strange with the 235 on there and a lift. Will something like a 265/70/15 or 245/75/15 fit with the stock steels? That seems to be pretty close to what the stock 4x4 and PreRunner are running (except for a 15 compared to 16).

Thanks! Sorry for the long winded post!

It is possible to do 33s but you will need a certain type of rim set up and alittle hammering. 4in bs and around -13mm offset. Also go on eBay and get the 3in spacer and then order a 2" aal from fat bobs. That will put you at prerunner height with their tire size and with 33s you'll be taller. You could go 32s to lessen the amount of work to clear.

This mine on 33x12.5r15 with cragar soft 8s 4in bs and -13mm offset.

Love your truck. I’ve lurked here for a bit... I think your original set up is kinda where I’m leaning. I don’t have anywhere to work on the truck, nor really the ability to do it if we’re talking heavy mods... so I need a set up that’s pretty close to bolt on.

Would I be able to keep the stock rims and go with a 31 or so with the lift... or am I going to regret not getting a wider wheel?

Yeah so I would do the eBay 3" lift and the 2" aal. You'll need a new set of rear shocks and I usually Suggest a front set as well. As for the 31 on stocks I think it possible it's just been a while since I've seen someone run them. I went from 235 to 33s and never have looked back lol. If you off-road at all 33s are a life changer.

I'm running a 2.75" spacer in the front and I'm going to install the Fatbobs 2" aal. I'm running 31x10.50R15 with just the spacer, had to do a little trimming but that was all

Closest thing I do go off-roading is taking dirt roads to a trail or kayak launch... so I don’t need anything too big. Your 33s look amazing Fury, but probably too much work for my unskilled self.

Thanks for the pic MJsolo. That’s about height I’m looking for. I posted a pic of someone’s truck I found on the single cab thread... but couldn’t find info on the set up. I know below is a 4x4 but it’s similar to the look id like. A little work, but a pretty stock look for the truck itself. I’m guessing below is lifted, with something like 31-32’s?

Yes, those were the first things that I took off to clear the 31's
