well I thought I had this all figured out, then decided I should ask before I screw something up...

I just received my sPOD and want to wire it up to my aironboard switches. The spod is not wired to support the dual led in the switch. It’s fine. I get that I need to tap into a nearby switch to allow it to light up when the dash lights are on.

    here’s the spod switch diagram...

And here’s the air on board diagram

Three wires in the spod harness. 4 on the aironboard switch. My assumption is that blue of the switch get tapped to the green wire from a nearby switch. The red from the switch goes to the red of the spod harness. The black on the switch goes to the green on the spod and the green on the switch goes to the individual color wire on the spod harness...

    Am I wrong?

So you want to use the aironboard switches with your Spod so they have back light capability? If so, I think you will need to do the following..

So you will have to steal 12V power from the ignition light source. It would be cool to tie into the dash trim pot so you could dim the switches. Just search TW for that answer. You will then have to run that wire to the back of your Spod switch panel. I think it would be the following:

Left side would be the air onboard switch and Right would be the spod harness:

Black Wire: Spod Green wire (Ground)
Red Wire : 12V source from Spod Harness (Red wire from Spod harness)
Green: These are your indvidual Spod Wires (Gray, White, Yellow, Black, etc..)
Blue: Dash 12V Source (Daisy Chained to each switch for the back light )

    ** I take no responsibility**

That’s my thought too. Found a TW post about wiring the aironboard switches to the free wire from a nearby switch...

But since I’m using the spod, the black switch wire will go the the spod instead of the green/white wire

Just FYI, you are 100% correct. I contacted sPOD and they called me and confirmed what you said.

Switch on the left: sPOD on right
    red:red
    Black:green
    Green: individual sPOD relay wires
Blue: tapped to dash 12v lighted source

    Thanks!
