    Continued. These are the Total Chaos Stiffeners. They appear to be up to the task, but does the bed really need stiffening? I don't know. It was not exactly square, and now it is. These require 6 each, 5/16" holes. The corner posts created by Toyota are of decent gauge steel and and that creates a LOT of chips. Steel everywhere! Cleaned it up. The raw edges coated, then each fastener sandwich was liberally doused with Amsoil HDMP, then wet assembled. Messy!! Stinky!! Rust may eventually happen, but it will be well into the future. With gate up or down, the back end IS more rigid.

    Maybe earlier version. Followed the somewhat choppy instructions. A few typos scattered in. The worst was when the skinny spacer for the smaller bed bolt scooted between bed an rear structural member. PITA!

    Finally found a use for the hood scoop!

    Hunted around for a spot under the hood to mount a extra Baja Designs Dome Light I had since I switch the one in the GFC with Amber color.

    I didn’t really have the energy to fab up a bracket so that it would sit level and not shine in my eyes when the hood was open so I figured here was the best spot.
    Also didn’t really want to drill the hood itself anywhere either.

    Worked out quite nice. I will probably swap screws for some shorter ones and locknuts later. Can’t see the nuts insude at all unless you really look.
    Those were just the ones BD sent with the light.

    Wired it into to my blue sea fuse block and zinnnnng!
