Thoughts on old Tundras with 3.4 V6?

    Underpowered? What is the actual MPG. The larger bed appeals to me, but fuel efficiency even more.

    You'll get more MPG than the V8, but I never found the 3.4 to be very fuel efficient. I love my V8 and wouldn't go back to the 3.4 at all, but I also am running 34's, so the extra power is welcomed. Keep in mind, my v8 gets an average of 13 mpg per fuelly and my 3.4 4runner averaged 15 mpg. Granted both were lifted and on 33/34's so lower than stock configuration.

    If you're used to your 2.7L, you should be fine. 3.4L 5VZ was a good motor. No powerhouse, but very reliable. Just make sure to get that timing belt changed on time.
