May have to try that. Would have to leave the green onion out. Wife doesn’t like onion not cooked.

 

I can’t eat raw onion. Sauté it, cool, then add.

 

I like it both ways but anymore too much raw onion kills me.

 

So my wife got me this on Thursday (only time she had off without me before the weekend) for my birthday coming up on Labor day. I had time after work yesterday to get it all setup and do a good first run (didn't cook anything, just got to temp to burn off any thing from the factory and see if I could control temps) & rub everything down with vegetable oil. She worked last night 6p-6a so she was still sleeping when I got up. I decided to hit up my favorite butcher and grabbed a few steaks and ribs with the plan to cook them today, since its supposed to rain the rest of the weekend. I get home and get the charcoal lit. she wakes up, and informs me that she had already made plans for a surprise party for me at the bar. So I had to go out and put out the charcoal (which hadn't really started luckily). But now I probably won't get to use it this weekend unless I work in the rain.

Which brings us back to that well done talk we had the other day.

We were making burgers with some 80/20 ground and we were putting diced onions in the meat. My friend hates onion so he asked for some without onions. When the times comes around he got a burger with onion. He was eating it and was just going on and on about how good it was. Then we pointed out that it had onions in it. He put that last bite sized piece down and said he didn't like it anymore.

 

On a large scale house fire several years ago, I had a gal tell me the same thing on the County wide radio... she still takes crap about that!

Beast injector I have is fantastic compared to the previous injectors that I have owned. IMO it deserves the 4.8 rating out of more than 1,600 reviews on Amazon. And I don't even have a review there for it LOL.

@Bigdaddy4760 has the real beast though, damn.. Has me wondering if I shouldn't get one to give me an excuse to do a whole hog or half a cow

 

I noticed the reviews were horrible, but sometimes people just don't understand the way things work so I was looking for real world experience. Everything dissolves in the brine I use so I don't have to worry about things clogging it up. The video I posted makes it seem super easy and obviously too good to be true.

Someone with a 3D printer could probably design a much better version...

She will eat cooked onions and it doesn’t bother her. But if there are raw onions she can taste them right away and she said it just overpowers everything else. She always puts them in things that I like though. She’ll usually make a special batch for me with onions in the stuff.

When we go out and have like fajitas and stuff she has no problems with the onion.

It was more the fact that she said she goes both ways .. on a County wide radio that's got 15 fire departments, 3 police departments and a Sheriff's department and 911 Dispatch all with the ability to listen in. She was actually answering my question about the tanker that she was driving and whether it dumped water from the side or the rear ... HAHA!
