Hey everybody just wanted to post that I had my dome light set to come on when the doors were open had my doors open listening to the radio and I saw my dome light flickering. I wondered what might be causing it and put my hand up on the dome light assembly and it was extremely hot. I have since switched my dome light to stay off. I don't know if this is a common problem but obviously have an electrical issue in the dome light FYI.

The oem bulbs get crazy hot. I got a Diode Dynamics LED dome light and haven't had any heat issues since.

Thanks for the info. I haven't had time to mess with it yet. I wonder if it is just the 13 year old bulb going bad that is causing the flickering.

The heat is coming from the expenditure of electrical energy to create light. This causes heat.

What you have is normal for an incandecent bulb.

^This. Switch to LEDs and problem goes away.
