I feel your pain. I'm looking forward to a long winter of doing nothing so I can save for all of the goodies I want.

Dang...I wish I could join in on this. I just found the Midwest thread.

I have some other things scheduled over the next few weeks and can't make the trip. If this becomes an annual thing I'll keep it open for next year.

I've been following this thread thinking about coming up for the day. Between opening of bow season and not knowing if we be going to Minneapolis before grandson was born all plans were up in the air. Well now its official. We're going to Minneapolis.
    Y'all have a good time.

I got a few weeks to change her mind.

Looks like I need better skid plates and a lift!

After further review, I HIGHLY doubt that anyone is going to want to drive up the rock road. At least not without full skids and some serious balls.

    @Thatbassguy
    Damn!
I upgraded to the stock OEM Tacoma TRD off-road 2 piece skid. I still doubt that will help me. Also I don’t have sliders 3C309476-90E9-4493-B974-CD0F3B0DAF9A.jpg

    I’m barely MALL RATED...
Look at this monster I cleared
    ACE2DA8D-5A35-4AF2-A338-BF718ED1A461.jpg
    lol.

No other damage? Well, At least your skid did what it was designed to do!
    “take the bashing”.

I have a (my original one I took off) spare Painted OEM front skid for a TRD off-road/TRD sport Tacoma (pretty sure it won’t fit 4Runner)

Any pics from the trail? Must of been a blast!

Mine is an off road:(. I'll be getting some real skid plates over the winter, hopefully.

I forgot to turn on dash-cam, so no pics.

Actually, got one picture of a nice group of off-roaders @ajmogen and I met. They had gone up the hill and we saw them on the other side. One of them had broken something, and they were putting on a bandaid to get it home.

Was it chunky boulders or flat steps?

I’m going to need sliders soon

My step son has a welder . I guess I need to buy some steel and cash in some step dad equity!
Aircraft quality paint then oven baking . It seems to be a nice finish on my skids and hope the kid can fab up the sliders and I’ll paint ‘em at work!

The rock road? Mostly round, 1.5-3' in diameter.

A dash cam isn’t much good if it isn’t running all the time lol

It's not really a dash-cam. Just a generic go-pro. I usually run it while I'm on trails so I can get screenshots of the terrain and listen to myself talking to myself
