Low tide has been higher than normal high tide for the last few days. Should be interesting with the king tide this week.

We were out in the boat last night in Bohicket and the current was absolutely ripping through. Was pretty nuts.

Yea it seems like these hurricanes are all coming at us on Kings tides. I think the last one was scheduled for a long time too.

How’s everything going down here? I saw the evac notice for the coast. Hang in there. I hope it moves further off shore.

They said there were small islands that are no longer there.

Heard that. I have a couple of eye of rounds ready to hit the smoke shortly. Only a 4-5 hour cook, hopefully. Planning on a late lunch when the girls get back from shopping in Commerce. Gotta get the big girl some work clothes to start her new job in Mt P in a couple of weeks.

I've always based coastal zones based on the zone map, or roughly 15 to 20 miles from the coast. I believe Nor Chas falls in the inland zones. Based on: https://www.scemd.org/prepare/know-your-zone/ I would consider zones D and E to be "Inland". Those are Dorchester county. But unfortunately, the Mayor wants the D to evaculate as well so you can expect heavy pressure around there with emphasis on the tip and down around the base of the shaft closest to Ashley.
