Well I just got a 2019 Tacoma Off Road Double Cab and am really looking forward to driving it for many year. It replaces my 2002 Jeep Wrangler that I decided to stop pouring money into. Looking forward to learning from the forum.

I already have a question. I would like to get a bed rack to accommodate two 14' kayaks, so it has to be tall enough to get the end of the kayaks over the cab. I would also like to have a tonneau cover on at the same time as the bed rack. Is there a compatible rack and cover combination?

    Thanks

Welcome! Searching with your favorite search engine and then using your search terms and "Tacoma World" will often produce better results then using the TW search function. Others have been there and done and made their own custom bed rack but it may not be easy to find the threads to see what they have made. Those type of custom racks are often buried within a members "build thread" and are not as easy to find. There is a "What have you done to your 3rd Gen Today?" thread that you might request information from or you might even want to start your own thread to get some ideas.

While I have a 2nd Gen Tacoma (2014), the Toyota stock roof rack will work to hold two kayaks. I just use the bed of the truck to stand in to help load the kayaks from the back. Works slick. With a guide rope in the front and back of each kayak it is secure and I have had the truck up to around 80mph with no issues.
