Damn, not getting a Tundra for the same reasons you stated. I'm trying to find something that will be a good compromise, but so far she's not a fan of most of the options I've shown her.

 They are similar with Azdel construction and decent features for the price range they are at.

Look at the Winnebago Micro Minnie 2106. A little big at 4k lbs but your wife might like it.

And don’t bother with the Micro Mini 1700BH. We tried it before we bought ours and it was horribly small with 2 adults and a 11 y/o.

We ended up with a Keystone Passport 2400BH with a slide out.

What I learned from the towing thread:

The Tacoma can't pull over 1,000 pounds without the engine "screaming"

The Tacoma can pull a 6,000 pound trailer and you won't even know it's there.

Oh you’ll know it’s there. I know every time mine’s back there. All 5000+ lbs of it.

Has your Passport been pretty solid? I know they all have problems, but I'm looking for something that will hold up.

For those trying to get the significant other on board with a trailer, it really all boils down to a single question- whats your preference for the on-board relief station?

Would you rather: a.) handle your own poo via thin flex-hose from tank to dump, b.) handle your own poo via plastic 3 gallon "briefcase" which you then carry to the dump, or c.) walk 100 yards to the nearest shower-house every time you need to poo?

Everything else is a minor detail that can be compromised on. Its the poo question that most people have a hard time getting over.

Thats pretty much the first choice in the decision tree.

Thanks, but that's a little heavier than what I want to tow.

What about theatre seats and a 32 inch TV? Cuz how do you possibly go 2 weeks without those?

100% to close. You are going to have water, gear, ect. Everyone makes this mistake. I would really look at a 4,000lbs trailer. This will give you more room to cary people and gear

The big deal breaker for us was the toilet/shower combo! Don't mind dumping the poo, the dump station disasters can/will happen. Some of the shower-houses are disgusting.
