Key detected in vehicle

It’s actually one of my favorite features. I hate digging through my pocket and grabbing a key every time I get in to start the truck.(or out) I’m also a very impatient person so every second I can save makes me happy

It took me a long time to learn to slow down. Invariably, I lost more time rushing than cruising.

 

Hey @ingot this may help. I went out to the taco and reached up under the driver seat from behind and found a quarter and of all things a razor blade

my truck has cloth seats and on the underside at the back of the seat there is a little cubbie space created from the extra material held up by mounting straps. you may want to check there.

 

If you checked every crevice, unhook and unzip your seats.

If not under there, try the rear cup holders. That's where mine was after 4 days of searching.

Get flashlight and move seats forward and backwards until you find it.

 

I love the smart key lol. Never have to take it out of my pocket. Let’s just think here....the smart key is actually helping him, I mean it’s at least letting him know that the key is in fact inside the vehicle. If he had a regular H-key and lost it, he would have no clue where to start looking lol. At least it’s narrowed down

My bet is I’m right and the OP is waiting to “pass” the transmitter. Same thing happened to my uncle when his fob fell in a bag of Doritos.

Does it detect it if it's close to the truck or only inside? Like, if it's in the garage somewhere close to the truck will it do the same?
I have a hkey so idk

Check all the door pockets . My phone slid in there .

 

Found my keys in the refrigerator once. LMAO. right next to the beer!!

 

Sorry, I snuck into your truck and hid your fob behind the vent/radio bezel.

 

Guaranteed it will be in that last place you look.
