I have a

$20 BaoFeng UV-5R VHF/UHF Dual Band Radio 144-148MHz 420-450MHz Transceiver

BaoFeng UV-5R arriving on Thursday. I'll download CHIRP and get it set up. Hopefully I get my license in time, otherwise I'll be creepin.

As for maps, I'll try and post up a bunch of links in this post when I get some time. It's a mix of hidden BLM links and such.

 

I'm not bringing my 690 enduro.

 

I guess it means I'll just have to plan another trip with the DRZ

I’ve created a monster. I threw this Moab idea out there bout a month ago just cause I was gonna be there anyway. Didn’t think it would blow up like this. I’m looking forward to meeting some of y’all face to face instead of your online avatars.

 

I’ve only been wheeling the truck in Moab for about 3 years but I’ve been riding it for over 10. The bike always comes.

Im planning to hit hells revenge, fins n things, and top of the world at the least

 

I may defect for a portion to go down to Canyonlands Needles District. I blame @turbodb for making me want to go so badly.

 

Every time I see that shot, I think "wow." And then I notice the mountains (La Sal's, I think) behind the Needles.

Ideally, we would love to get a few nights of more primitive camping in just to get away from town. Likely spend the first couple of night closer to town so that we can run Hells and PSM while people are trickling into town and then go do a longer camping run Mon-Wed or so. Last year we stayed closer to town the whole time to just run trails and it wasnt quite the same experience as it was in previous years.
