Trying to be pro active, I recently changed my rear differential oil and replaced it with Mobile 1 Synthetic. Shortly after doing that maintenance, I noticed my Tacoma shudders when taking off and continues a bit into second gear. I also noticed a clanking sound when at a stop and easing up to car in front of me. Is it a coincidence that I just noticed this after the oil change or has anyone else experienced this. I do know that fluids may a difference because I also have a new Corvette that shudders and the fix according to GM is to have the transmission fluid changed to a new type fluid they have. Should I replace the rear diff. oil with the Toyota OEM fluid? What do you guys think? Thanks, Russ

I know from experience some lsd rear ends will stutter and shake if you don't add the lsd additive when you change the fluid, could be that if you have an lsd.

Thanks coopcooper, my Tacoma does not have lsd so I didn't need the additive. I t may not be the fluid change, I am a big fan of Mobile 1. I have looked at my u-joints and they appear to be fine, just looking for clues. Thanks.
