    Hi all,

Recently got some work done under warranty for faulty seat assembly. Seat is no longer moving at all, which is great!

One thing I noticed on the invoice though was the following language:

“Replaced seat assembly. Swapped over foam pads and cloth covers. Torque mounting bots to spec.”

Does anyone know if the assemblies are generally swapped over the cloth covers and foam pads? That seems off to me but I am not sure what is generally done. I'm sure I'm just going crazy but thought I'd ask and see if anyone knew what best practice is with this.

    Anyone have any insight?

That sounds like a seat frame swap

I'm reading that as they "swapped" those items, not that they put something "over" them.

I can see that. Left the frame, installed new pad and cover.

Hmm interesting. The work done was the seat was moving back and forth, so the assembly (or frame) was replaced. I'm thinking maybe they replaced the frame, and then moved (or swapped) the foam pads and cloth covers over to the new frame? Does that make sense?
