I mounted my camera under the front license plate OEM holder, worked great. I am waiting to hear about my problem, I contacted the company and sent them a picture of my HU

One more thing to mention, I just used the RCA plug for grounding the camera. Seems most are doing it this way but maybe could be my problem. I hope I get to use mine but I do not feel comfortable leaving it installed and affecting the truck lights. I would flip out if something would burn up as these trucks are a computer on wheels

Not sure what camera you ultimately ended up with, but from what I remember you purchased this one:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078ZZSKQ2

If you did, check out these three posts:

Edit: If you have the same camera and hooked it up this way, the camera should NOT always be on but only when you activate it.

Success, Lights are going off as they should.. I will check everything out better tomorrow. When I hit the mode button I had front camera and then hit it on the down button and the back camera. I am not too happy about thew video of the camera, but it is working, I thank you guys for holding my hand. I think I did not let the truck lights time out, I was too soon on the draw. 23 seconds they go out and I am happy. Now onto the panel under the hood, I need a accessory cable to go to one half of my panel. This is a whole other scenario

Just wrapped up my install today. Initially tried the updated version of the Natika camera and couldn’t get it to fit correctly in my Pro grill. Ended up purchasing the Natika older version camera and it worked out great.

Now I wonder if anyone has figured out how to turn off the forward camera from automatically turning on every time you shift from reverse to drive. I prefer to only have the front camera on when I double click the mode button.

I’m no expert but I believe if you just don’t connect the trigger wire according to the diagram and use the red and black ground, it would be powered with no trigger for R to D. That’s my understanding but I could be off base

So natika said it’s a camera problem and they’re sending me a new one. I showed Car Solutions pictures of my problem and of my set up and they said it was improperly grounded.

Has someone with a 3rd Gen installed an aftermarket Android HU and successfully hooked up his Car Solution front camera kit? I know of someone who has done it on his 2nd Gen but I am just wondering how challenging it is to do so on a 3rd Gen with an Android HU.

I think there is a kit (can't remember the name... Mistro maybe?) that will use the steering wheel buttons on an aftermarket Android HU. From there its possible to piggyback the whole thing together

I am looking at an aftermarket Corolla Android HU that comes with Canbus which retains all steering wheel functions and is supposed to be plug n play. So that part should be taken care of. Just wondering if there are any other things I would need to look out for?

I'm not sure but if all that is built in it should just be the matter of hooking up the CS kit I would think

Yeah... the only thing is that it's not an entune unit but and aftermarket Android one for Corollas. But I think I will still give it a shot.

If anyone is interested, it seems like Car Solutions eBay store has the module back in stock. Looks to be $111 shipped. Bonus for me is 10% eBay bucks.

Mine is doing this and I do not mind it working this way. It goes out after 20 seconds or so. I am just happy mine is working

Anyone else have a problem with the install causing faults?

Had the recall on the forward radar emitter done before install and now pretty regularly the PCS and cruise control go out and I get the PCS off warning light. Took it back to the dealer to make sure the recall was done right and that checked out.

    Anything else I can check?
