Hello. Will the outlet in the back of the bed of the truck be able to power a winch?
Thinking of buying a Portable Winch, but it would be easier to just plug it in and go!

    Thanks in advance!!

It's a 400watt power outlet max not a direct 12 volt connection to run a winch. The risk of blowing internal fuses, rather than a stand alone fuse would detour me from that choice.
I could be wrong, but have never heard of a winch being run from that outlet.

LOL No, and I'm not even sure which outlet you're talking about.

There's no way the 110 would; it's only 400watts (100w when the truck is moving unless you do the anytime mod), the other outlet below the bumper is the trailer lights/brake connection and those wires are like 16ga.

I think he means the one next to the cubby on the inside of the bed. The one that cant even run a coffee pot.

That's what I was thinking; I've had it trip just using a Dremel tool. Toyota really cheaped out on the wire to and from the inverter. Doing the 400w anytime mod at least makes it somewhat usable, that and adding outlets in the cab to charge camera batteries or run a small laptop- my gaming laptop will trip it also.

The only winch that would work back there would have a Little Tykes logo on it along with this label:

For a portable winch, you will need hitch mounts for both front and rear along with running power to the rear. Can't use the bed outlet since that is controlled through the OEM power inverter.
