What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Funny as I was replying to your post I was sitting on the deck lighting a cigar.
My cigar lighter is a frigging torch. A little heat and you can skip the solvent and probably get away with just a ratchet.
If they carry high capacity cigar lighters this could be a problem!

My theft deterrent is almost foolproof, all 120lbs. of it and his name is Riley and he doesn't like anyone messing with HIS Tacoma!

 

Did my part. Stuck at work, so changed some light bulbs at lunchtime.



Vanity (Extremely) and dome light. Dome lights are from JDMastar and are blue.

Your point of the Loctite was good--and I've used that super-duper industrial stuff that takes an acetylene torch and 4 people, to remove.

We seem to have very industrious crews of thieving bastards--and maybe they only look like meth-heads. They carry quality tools too--no harbor freight garbage for them.

 

Huge improvement over stock. Another instance where Toyota missed the boat on our Tacos. Those dim yellow lights didn't get it for me either.
I think that was the 2nd mod that I did right after the bed mat.

 

Who would use a Harbour Frieght tool when your life potentially hung in the balance.........

That is the folded down headrest on the rear seat back. Damn things in the upright position block out rearward view!

I bought mine on line from a dealership, I just kept shopping around until I found the best deal. Try keeping an eye on the Buy, Sell and Trade thread. You could also watch Craigs List, LetGo as well as the other online private sale sites. I suppose you could also call local auto salvage yards, you never know what they might have.
You best bet in my opinion is either here on BST or shop around for new. One thing is certain, for what they sell for nobody's giving them away. Good luck!

Just picked up some clear black & white Winjet Taillights.

 

Picked up my license plates from the dealer. They also handed me a $98 check. Overcharged on the registration. They asked me if I wanted install.......er no thanks you've done enough.....damage.

I've used a lot of loctite in my life and never come across any that requires a oxy/acetylene torch to brake free, are you sure your not referring to natures loctite called cross threading?? I'm not one to judge, like I always say, "cross threads are better then no threads"
