If its the same one @Murphinator has you will LOVE it!!! It sounds REALLY REALLY good! As long as you dont mind some volume.

I am finishing up a couple belt wraps while letting welds cool. :D I am working on them buddy! To me its the ultimate complement when someone shells out big cash for one of my y-pipes, then after using it, orders another one!!!:thumbsup::burnrubber:

Need a cutout. I can pretty much guarantee 100% money back your truck would sound unreal with an electric cutout!!!!!!!!

Hmmmm......a strengthened block, bored? / stroked, ported, cammed, full internals, and oh almost forgot, that little spinney thingy that whistles real loud when the right big toe begins to fall forward.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

As far as I can tell the banks and the last Magnaflow (XL 3 chamber) that I ran are very similar in design (chamber and perf core). And you're right it does sound very good! More down low grunt than the split flow straight through Magnaflow 12579 that I had on their from URD.

But I was not going to sneak out the house at early hours with that setup either. I needed a little more stealth in my life. Man am I getting old!

Interesting! I had the 12579 Magnaflow in my Spec-U exhaust and while I loved the sound, I did experience some loss of low end grunt. I had solely attributed it to the Y-pipe design (length and diameter) but your statement peaks my curiosity. Do you have a part number for the muffler you mentioned as the XL 3 Chamber?

Yes, but better yet, I have one for you try! Magnaflow 13742

Its not quite as nicely finished as the 12579, but its a great muffler.

I feel like my 12579 is about toast. I have a rattle can sound under any type of moderate acceleration.........it’s really getting annoying. Will this 13742 or the banks someone mentioned be loud, or as loud as the 12579?.........I still like loud.

I figured they'd be similar as they're both based in Cali. My current set up on my taco is stock headers, urd y, and banks cat back. Sounds decent to me. On my 4runner the current set up is urd equal length headers, jfr y, and urd cat back with a magnaflow muffler and what looks like a vibrant resonator. Sounds great and isn't loud to me anyway. Btw your still young enough to enjoy that supercharger. Me I like acting my age at work, keeps everyone down to earth there. Lol

With my banks it isn’t too loud unde 2500-2750 rpms. Once you get up there it starts to get loud though. Not annoying loud with the pipe exiting on the side of the truck. I had to chop my tail pipe off so I cut it after the axle and on long trips at 2700 it can be annoying like that as it’s much louder in the cabin now.

I put a vibrant ultra quiet resonator on my Banks and it really killed the drone and improved the cab noise. It's still plenty loud outside so I'm really happy with the setup now after the resonator

After a month, I’m still so stoked on my Keg exhaust. I’m still surprised at how great it sounds.
