    I love tacos!

Good evening and welcome to the forum neighbor.

As other's suggested, I'd definitely get on the Toyota website and go through a few iterations of building a setup. It will help you get an idea if the trim you want can be configured the way you think you want.

I just went through this process, somewhat.

I had built and saved a few summaries of what I thought I wanted. My main short coming was that I had only rode in a Tacoma twice (but had been in tons of Hilux's). So, with the print outs of what I thought I wanted, I manipulated the Toyota build website by changing my zip code to try to "snoop" into many of the dealers between Denver, Salt Lake, and Albuquerque. The closest dealer to me is Montrose. However, Durango and Grand Junction were the closest dealers that had a respectable inventory. So, I chose Durango for test drives since it is 10deg cooler there than Grand Junction. My intent was to test drive to see if I liked the model and trim, then come home and start soliciting bids over the internet for dealers all over the CO Rockies, to include over in to Utah and New Mexico. Well, when I test drove, of course I liked it. The dealer had version that was my 2nd or 3rd color choice, but equipped relatively close to the way I wanted it (Long Bed being the less common item). So, we made a deal and bought one from their lot that day.

The model year you want will make a difference too. I'd speculate that the 2019 model year will give you the best discounts right now. However, I'd also assume the production of those will be stopped soon, if it isn't already (i.e. can't special order the build). However, the dealer should be able to quarry their computer system and find some options at other dealers and maybe arrange to have it shipped for you.

I would definitely recommend finding the build you want and start hitting the internet with the regional dealers to see what deal they will cut you. Not knowing exactly where you are, I'd definitely recommend you contact Mountain States Toyota in Denver. I had met up with my salesman today to go over the vehicles features (Yes...5 days after buying it; but our dealings finished very late when we bought it and we needed to get back on the highway to get home) and while we were talking about our transaction, he said that he only knew of 1 dealer in the state that had cheaper prices (Mountain State).
