    Hey y'all.

I was recently browsing through Custom Offset's gallery looking at options for my first wheel setup.

I've recently installed Rough Country's 2.5in suspension on my 2000 4x4. I am really considering BFG KO2's 31x10.5R15. The wheels I want are Fuel Lethal 15s with a -44mm offset. I saw some really nice setups, but I noticed that every single one on 31's slightly rubbed at full turn! I didn't really think that rubbing would be a problem on 31s! Especially with a -44mm offset.

So I guess what I'm asking is if any of y'all have any suggestions/advice on 31s.

I’m running 295/55/20 (33x12) and I had to trim just a bit on the bumper and I don’t hardly rub at all now. No matter what size you get someone’s gonna say it rubs, I say go for it.

If you have 31’s that rub, you’ve seriously screwed up your backspacing. 31” is the STOCK size tire and shouldn’t rub. Either that or the manufacturer doesn’t know how to measure their tire diameters.

Now, any bigger than that and you’re likely to get some rubbing. My 265/75r16s rubbed the frame in the parking lot.

With a 2.5” lift, you should not rub at all at ride height unless, again, you’ve seriously miscalculated your backspacing. You should be able to get most 33’s to not rub (at least at ride height) on a 2.5” lift and some minor hammering. Just keep in mind that a simple lift doesn’t actually alter the geometry of the suspension, so if it rubs at stock height, it will still rub after you lift it, just maybe not at your new ride height, just when the suspension compresses.

31's are stock. A lot of people dont even rub with 32's on stock wheels. Dunno where you got your info, but it aint trustworthy.

Depends. I was 100% stock with 265/75 (31.9”) KOs on stock alloys and they rubbed the frame on tight turns in a parking lot.

Still rubbed sligtly with 5100s set on the middle (1” lift). They only stopped rubbing when I got new upper control arms.
