    Has anyone worked with grey
That is beautiful. Think it's time I went to my local supplier and browse the live edge slabs!

Ha! No worries Top, I do take it as a compliment. I was an art major in undergrad, with a concentration in woodworking and furniture design, and went to grad school for interior architecture. So if I can make and display things that look like a museum-grade piece/display, I think I've done my job!

You don’t? I see them in my head and that makes my comments acceptable. No idea if anyone else does or finds them acceptable but it works for me!

That’s why me and my corporate boss (AT&T/Directv) didn’t get along. He didn’t like (understandably) being told something was dumb or I wasn’t going to do something that bordered on being against policy. Finally just quit after 3 years and decided to just retire outright. Pretty sure we’re both a lot happier.

I'd just like some dimension plans and I'd copy it :anonymous:

I’d gladly post the dimensions but I made it for a friend last year (or the year before?). Next time I make one I’ll document the dimensions. Maybe a chance for me to get off my ass and learn to use sketchup.

I had a lake etched into the board and filled with epoxy. Sanded down and I like it. Not bad for the first hack at epoxy...

Anyone ever work with grey elm? We recently had our kitchen remodeled and our kitchen company suggested the island be made from grey elm with Michaels Cherry stain. I absolutely LOVE the grain. After seeing our island I’m really interested in finding some grey elm for some projects.

Current project. New TV stand. Still need to work out the drawers, the drawer faces and some cable routing but the main box is done. Still not sure what direction I want to go with the finish. Designed in Fusion360 then built out of poplar and maple I had left from another project.
