I need help! I have a 2014 Tacoma TRD that has a steering wheel shake that shows up at about 50mph. My truck has a 3” bilstein lift and wheel spacers. The guy I bought the truck from had the lift installed as well as km2 mud tires. I had the tires rebalanced about three times and it never changed my condition. I put nitto ridge grappler all terrains on it to hopefully solve my problem but that didn’t help either. I just changed both front wheel bearings because I thought it was coming from one of them. Anyone else have a similar issue or a suggestion for me?

Do you need the spacers? It's the only thing left. They definitely cause vibrations in many scenarios.

I’m not sure. Tomorrow I will take them off and see if that does anything. I just never thought a wheel space would’ve caused it to shake‍♂️

I have many times. It's the first thing I would try if I got your truck for that complaint.

Do you know what brand they are? How big it is?

Not sure the brand but they might be a half inch thick. Not really even sure why he put them on beside to help with tire rub a little

Those are the worst kind haha. They stretch studs.

If you end up needing them, Spidertrax makes the best style and most reliable results.

The common symptoms of out-of-balance tires are uneven and faster tread wear, poor fuel economy, and vibration in the steering wheel, the floorboard or the seat that gets worse at faster speeds. When all areas of the wheel-tire unit are as equal in weight as possible, the tire will roll smoothly

I would start with something small like dropping the psi. For every 10 degrees of temperature drop, tires will drop 1-2 pounds of pressure. It is important to keep your tires within the recommended PSI to maintain traction, handling and durability.

It fixed the problem for me but if you feel less vibration at least you know where it's coming from. I need to get a road force balance that everyone keeps talking about.

I found a sweet spot at 40psi with little vibration... sometimes the tire can be super inflated making the tire not perfectly distributing contact to the road causing vibration

    Not Enough and it continues...
Good to hear that you found the cause. I had that trouble for some time myself and it is aggravating as hell.
