spare driveshaft mounting locations?

    A friend of mine had a VW camper van that was all set up for off road camping. He had a piece of black sewer pipe with screw caps. I asked him what that was for. He said it was storage for a spare half shaft.

    With a Taco drive shaft, the carrier bearing is going to be an issue, but it would probably work for the half without the carrier bearing.
