If I had the disposable income and had personally caught that pike I would have a faux mount made. Such awesome coloration and patterns on that pike.

Might work fine with baby fish. When you catch a HAWG that weighs over 10 pounds you definitely need a clamp.

Didn’t punch a hole in his lip, just slid the loop by his gills and under his chin carefully. I do need to just order a lip gripper so it’s easier and safer though.

I'm new to fishing and I'm having a lot of fun but just starting to be able to find the bass. This wasn't the biggest one today but it's the one I got a photo of.

This is the rig we use trolling for those white bass. Just a triple swivel an about 1' leader for a diver (front hooks removed cuz they just get in the way) and 2' for a spoon or spinner

White bass are crazy fun to catch. We generally use 3" white curly tails or crankbaits. Or rattletraps.

I watched (well found a video for my daughter to watch so she had an idea) of a guy in a little creek with a little curly tail grub and he limited out and he threw back very thing less than 1.5 lbs or so. They will absolutely ruin you from all other fishing when they are hitting

This sounds like a bs story, but hear me out.
Several years ago me and a buddy were in a chute in the river (Mississippi) and water was flowing across a dike. He idled up to it and I made a cast and caught a white. I made another cast and caught a white. We threw his anchor over the rocks, put on double jig set ups, and caught 1 or 2 whites on every single cast. Until we could barely lift our arms. We went back for 3 straight days, I have no idea how many hundreds of them we caught. It was the best fishing experience I've ever been lucky enough to have.

Where we troll they some times push school of minnows up and surface for several minutes and we catch one every cast basically throwing as big a spoon or spinner you have... But its usually short lived maybe 5 minutes or so before they go back down... Its the Freakin best

when they are biting they are unstoppable...The better ones are the striped bass....they can get big. Texas had an 18" minimum and those hit hard. 2 small shad hooked through the eye with a circle hook and toss out on the bottom and those striped bass nail them...
