Best wheels for clearing 35’s?

You have no idea what wheels he needs. He's "planning" on UCA's. That decision alone can rule out what backspacing he can use to run 35's.

 

You have instagram, you tell me whether I have full functionality or not, brushing the dust off some plastic is hardly a disqualifer.

JoeCOVA is the professor on fittin 35’s I know plenty have used his thread to do it. Very knowledgeable member

 

I had hundreds of off road miles with my 35’s. I didn’t have to do even close to what you are doing.

Cab mount chop. Pinch weld hammer. Cut fenders/flares. Alignment. No rub.

I’d be interested in seeing what 37s would take. I’m not planning on running them at any point but I give props to the ones who are willing to do so.

I am now but when I first did 35’s it wasn’t.

 

I can tell you for 37’s what you’ve done is 100% required (lots o’ cutting) unless you limit steering and uptravel of course.

 

From what I saw, LT would have saved a lot of cutting for my truck but I’m not going that route.

 

Not really. If you have to cut what you did to fit 35’s you’d probably have to do the same thing with LT.

At least speaking from only my truck experience. I didn’t have close to the issues you had for fitting the tires.

 

It should be easier for a 2nd gen to fit 37s but after what you did for 35s, idk, I havent ever seen 2nd gens do what you did.

 

Correct. I would have had to cut the firewall on my truck regardless but I would have probably gotten away without cutting the wheel well with LT.

 

You can decide which seems more functional for 35's

 

The photo angle is entirely different and you have no bumper, likewise i dont even have the same bumper anymore.

Based on the pic alone in its current state, we both have full range of motion but I have a better tire and beadlocks, and took less work to do.

 

I'm not knocking your built by any means. Think it's a beauti. I meant that towards the OP when deciding what he wants to do moving forward for his needs.

 

I won’t ever be able to fit 37s on my truck without basically getting rid of any leg room.
