    Hey All,

Looking to do a valve adjustment on my 2004 Tacoma 2.7l . I've heard of people having a set of shims they are willing to ship so the person doing them can have an assortment on hand. I promise to ship them back and replenish the ones I use. This good deed will restore faith in humanity.

I don't know if it ever materialized.

You might PM some of the players involved in shim adjustment threads. I have a set of them from a Corolla i was willing to pitch into a set. It's my understanding most Toyota shims are the same OD.

PS: Unless something really goes haywire the shims don't wear out, junkyard shims are fine as long as not rusty. Someone on here has a BUNCH but i really forgot who.

BTW also. You rearrange the shims you have to get the valves the loosest you can then find ones you need to finish/ Sometimes you can do the whole job with what you already have.

Thanks, yep I've sent a couple Pms out, but haven't heard back. I get that I can rearrange them, but I don't want to get pinched. It's my work truck and I have a one day time limit for the job...

It helps to have a location in your profile. You could be next door to someone with a box of something you need sometime.
