My 4WD stop working about a week ago on my 01. I've checked the fuses and looked at both actuators and both look in decent shape. I've tried tapping a hammer on the actuators to see if they would engage. Nothing is working. Anyone have any other ideas before I have to go buy a new actuator?

Check to see if the wiring on top of the glovebox has come undone.
