    And yeah, it gets beat up along the way. Big deal - it’s a hunk of iron and plastic

    I like to think of every scratch and dent as a tribute to the amazing adventures i’ve had in this thing

    On further inspection - definitely not the racks fault. Surprisingly, the supplied ny-loc nuts that mount the tent to it’s own rack came loose, tore up the aluminum pretty good and finally fell off - thusly allowing the tent to smash around hard enough to bend the rack. Tent’s rack is fubar.... not sure what to do there.
    Those aren’t supposed to be slotted, and they’re wide enough now the nut could just come right out

    Tell them the truth -- that you were off roading on a washboard road out in the desert -- and see what they say. Couldn't hurt. If you are extremely lucky they might give you a one time good will fix.
