Technically, yes. But only because the calendar says so.

The snow is only a few miles away up 50 or 80.

It’s a craftsman with a B&S motor. Probably from around 2005 or so. Every time it starts running like shit the air filter is just completely clogged with grass.

Sure, humidity is lower than Louisiana, but there is still plenty of moisture in the air, enough to rust bare metal overnight. Especially in the winter.

My Valkyrie has six carburetors. It gets lots of corn gas. I ride
it enough that it doesn't gum up. Other Valkyrie owners whose bikes
have to sit for the winter, or whatever, get regularly screwed over
    by corn gas...

-Mike "who wants to work on six carburetors?"

does the ethanol blended fuel make the engine ping more at the lower RPMs?

once in awhile i experience pinging with the MT and not sure why, i attribute it to lower octane fuel
if this is a stupid question please just slap me :smack:

I run non-ethanol in anything I have with a carburetor (chain saw, motorcycle, quad etc). EFI engines get the corn liquor gas.

I notice a huge difference in my 19 Tacoma. So what I’m finding out is 87 regular my truck pings a bit. So I’ve been using 87 non ethanol, mileage went up drastically with slight pinging under some conditions. 91 non-ethanol is like cocaine to my truck. No more pinging, I notice more power, better mileage, I live in CO and it’s a noticeable difference the way I can pull grades in say 5th gear vs having to use 4th or 3rd using corn fuel.

I have a ‘19 Honda 1000 RR also. Since here they can add up to 15 percent ethanol I’m stuck using 91 non ethanol in my new bike. Anything above 10 percent voids the warranty, and of coarse I bought the extension for 5 more years. Anyway between the Tacoma (19) and the Honda they both love the 91 non. I pay more however my mileage is up on both. The motorcycle will easily do 175 miles before I hit my reserve of 1.2 gallons (55 miles). There is a place in Denver I fill the bike up to ride up the mountains with 100 octane, and it really likes it.

I do t care what anyone says I personally can tell the difference in real world mileage, and no pinging. So the Tacoma gets 91 non. Puregas.org has maps and locations and they have an app.

I get pinging also, I have noticed it more when shifting into 3rd and accelerating. I run non-ethanol now exclusively since June.
