I have a 2000 Tacoma 5 speed V6, while driving it will randomly stall like it's out of gas. everything on the dash still works, if i'm at a stop dash lights will come on until I restart. If I'm driving it will start back up on it's own.
not sure where to start because it dose it randomly. I would think that if it was the fuel pump or relay, it would just go out and not come back on.

Sounds like a loose electrical connection in the fuel pump circuit if it does not cause and codes to trip..

Your Check Engine light is not on is it?? This could lead you to the problem area

Could be the EFI Relay or Fuse The Circuit Opening relay or any of the other connections.

Physical damage to the wires .

Does it stall when you come to a stop and push in on the clutch?
Or does it just lose power and slow down just going down the road?

It happened randomly, usually while driving down the road

Only thing I can suggest is having a scan done and looking for pending codes. Unless someone can duplicate it and record the issue its going to be tuff to track.
It would be better if the truck died and went to no start.
    Could be just about anything.
