    I showed my wife the link you posted the other day while we were sitting at the football game. She surprised me yesterday with it when she got home. Got it for 50% off. I was hoping the handle would be the switch but it's just for decoration. The switch is in the cord. But it's still cool. I need to find a lightbulb that goes along with the look of it that isn't very bright. But it looks better in person than the picture.

    yeah I was thinking either dimmer or just on off would have been cool. I was messing with it at Hobby lobby and then I saw the actual on off switch on the cord...Still neat looking

    Cool! I made my lamp out of gas and plumbing parts that were original to my house, which was built in 1926. I found most of the parts stashed away in the basement and garage. The switch is an old snap-action rotary that was part of the knob-and-tube wiring in a garage that was built around 1900.
