    hello everyone,

I’ve always thought that Tacoma’s were great looking, long lasting trucks and have wanted one forever. So at the age of 45, I decided to stop being a miserly old Mainer and actually buy a decent vehicle rather than pay cash for a beater. I found a sharp 15 Tacoma off-road with 30k miles and I love it. I know I want to lift it (3 inches I think) and get bigger tires. I really only hunt a few times a year, and will use it primarily just around town. I’ve never had a truck before so I was looking for some advice.

What are the biggest tires I could fit on it now, pre-lift?
How would it look with stock tires but lifted 3 inches?
Does it make more sense to get tires or lift it first? (I’d do both at the same time, but I just spent all my money on this truck!)

Thanks! Probably better for my wallet, as well. Just kinda felt the need to do SOMETHING, to kinda make it mine.

Thanks, I’m pretty stoked! I was driving a 04 gmc envoy, so this is a pretty big upgrade.

Might also eliminate a alignment if you do both at the same time. There are many less expensive things you can do to make it your own.

I hear ya, I waited this long for a truck, I can wait a little longer to really make it sweet. Looking at the trucks like yours, though, makes me wanna get to pimpin this thing out!

Congrats! You picked a good year for your truck. If you don't want your wallet to be chronically light, stay off this forum... :D

Only problem is once you start you can’t stop. When I bought my truck I told my wife all I wanted to do was buy seat covers, floor liners and tint windows. I now have a list of 25 things that I have done and I still have a list.:rofl:

Thanks! This site has so much info, I don’t even no where to start. I got a feeling this might become a hobby, rather than JUST a vehicle
