Alright guys, i have made this thread to better coordinate and discuss this trip so we are more organized and not blowing up AL thread. I will update the thread as it gets closer to the date. If you have any ideas or topics about this that you would like to discuss please bring it up in here.

I would really like to get a night ride in as well. Maybe a multi night trip if anyone would want to make the weekend out of it.

The Sipsey Wilderness is an awesome place to camp out. Mt. Cheaha down at the Turnipseed campgrounds it also great. We could have a Tacoma take over there! lol Either way, put Jeannie and I down for this...

I know I am new and all, but I was looking to drive around Bankhead this or next weekend to find some backroads and get a little dirty, and coworker of mine mentioned how Cheaha would be nice for some light offroading and camping. I will keep my eye on the thread to see what dates yall pick out.

I currently have a backpacking trip planned around Sipsey in early November, so If y'all go there, you might have some random guy jumping out of the forest at you.

We have backpacked all over the Sipsey. We did the Sispey Rim Loop Trail, which was about 18 miles all the way around. 2 days and one night of hiking. Hell, my wife and I have backpacked all over the SE region!

We have all the stuff for backpacking but haven't made the time for it. We have a friend who has hiked the Appalachian Trail, or at least a lot of it, and they invited us to go down to Sipsey with them.

I'm not sure what trail we are taking, but it should take around 4 days 3 nights supposedly.

    Only the best.
I could possibly be in depending on what weekend it falls on. Add me and the family to the possible list.

Make sure you stop and see the largest Poplar tree in the state of Alabama! It's huge! Tons of waterfalls and places to go offtrail. Plenty of hogs there too...
