I am in need of a tranny mount that the parts stores say doesn't exist. The part that low range off road sent is too big by a lot. It is a 98 Tacoma 4X4 with the 2.7 with 5 speed. I can't have the only one in captivity, surely someone else has run into this.

I had the same issue when I did the rebuild on my transmission and put new mounts in everywhere. My final solution was to buy an OEM mount direct from toyota. There's a local (sorta) shop to me that specializes in toyota rebuild called Yotashop, they sell online as well. Either way The part number is
    12371-75030

Well dang it that didn't pan out as 12371-75030 says is for a 4 runner and a pick up uses another mount . Even tried a local Yota dealer and he said can't get one. I did stumble across another spot that said used 12371-0C020 but it looks totally different. The 12371-75030 looks to be the closest by the picture. Out of desperation I ordered it and if nothing else will see if can modify if need be.

That's really weird... if it's any consolation I took the motor and transmission out of a 98 4runner (it had the 4cyl in it) rebuilt them and put them in a 98 tacoma. I used the transmission crossmember that was already in the truck, I've put 100 miles on the truck since then and nothing has ripped itself apart yet!

My 1995 4x4 2.7 also has this problem. No aftermarket manufacturer makes the mount. Have to get OEM.

    Mine was:
    12371-35080

Use this site and type in your VIN to make sure. www.Partsouq.com

Take a picture of what you have.

Could be almost any mount in a truck that old

How do you add a picture? From what have found so far it looks closest to a 4 runner mount. All the ones that Orileys and Autozone had were not even close. I went to the dealer with VIN in hand he said couldn't get it. I am not sure what the history of this truck is as I got it 3rd hand at least and maybe more.

By the VIN on that site Russianman 92 mine comes up as 12371-0C020 which looks nothing like what I had on there.

That looks exactly like what I installed in on my truck, they look just like each other

EDIT @Trapperpete52 sorry no they don't look the same, I see the new one in that picture is wider. My apologies,

Do you know if you have the W59 5speed in the truck?

OK finally found a part number on it cast into the rubber 12371-0C020. Seems can only be found on a yota site and is around $130 plus shipping.

Eye opener found NOT to deal with Low Range California Inc . I verified with their staff before ordered a mount and even sent them my VIN as well. Had to return it on my dime then they finally did a refund minus another $19.90 on top of the $25.85 I had to pay to ship it back to them.
