Since no one else has asked, what are you hoping to accomplish with this closed loop patch? More precise control of fueling in all driving conditions. Getting rid of all of Toyotas stock fueling maps. Or is this something that would help with boosted applications. Is the stock wide band o2 sensor accurate enough. I had heard that Toyotas wide bands aren't great.

These are indeed exciting times for Tacoma owners and enthusiast. I waited 12 years for someone to crack the ECU on my 05 taco. With this gen I don't have to wait at all.

Just ordered OVTune. Lots of dinero but i'm convinced it's worth it after reading nearly 300 pages of this thread and driving an AT with the tune. I'll load 1.5 for now till 2.0 final is out. Thanks everyone for the input and advice and thanks Ovtune for saving this platform!

I am hoping with the tune and ADM the truck will feel more "raw"/natural like cable throttle response. haha

it certainly does for me, that's been part of the target since the beginning. other things help, too. like the ADM as you noted and maybe exhaust if you want to keep uncovering more.

Since day one I felt like the truck was too "soft" compared to my older Landcruiser, or older 4Runner. I thought maybe it was just the drive by wire/nature of a new car. Thank god you guys all came together. haha

Who here did the dremel mod on the accumulator?

Any advice? I'm thinking of doing that on my '19 rather than re-plumbing it.

I did that on my current truck, so all good.
With the dremel mod, it all goes back together looking stock.. no need to ever convert back IMO.

That would be me,super easy,it took me less than 45 minutes start to finish. Just clamp off the rubber line at the master cylinder under the hood, remove accumulator, dissemble, dremel, reassemble, install and bleed. Of course I turn wrenches for a living and have all the right tools and a lift to do it on:D

Right on, thanks for the advice. I have a flare nut wrench set and access to a lift, all worked out good when I did the ADM on my 16. Looking for a more stealthy solution this time
One question, how much "meat" is there that I can channel out between the two holes in the accumulator? Did you ever take a pic of the job you did?

No I didn't get a pic of the finished job but when you get it apart you will see how much meat you can trim away. You can safely go the depth of the existing holes and about 1/8" to 1/4" wide;)
