white is the hardest to maintain as they have no clearcoat.

If I would had bought white I would had gotten a paintshop to clear the entire thing. Like some nice really thick coats. Problem solved. Albeit expensive, but I digress. Lol.

    Huh?o_O

There is a reason every contractor truck is white. It hides everything, every flaw and blemish.

Radiant Red doesn't have a clear coat either. None of Toyota's non metallic paints have clear coat

That is true, but we are talking about longevity wise, they don't hold up and eventually dull out a nice yellow looking color.

Ahh that's right I forgot about that! Those too!

Toyota factory paint is pretty garbage and I'm pretty sure it has been for quite a good while now, but hey I guess in the end, it is what it is right?

Just adequate works for people who have garages and can put clearbras on the front of their trucks though. For us poor souls who have to sit out in the sun and don't have the luxury of affording clearbra tech for the front end, we are screwed.

You do know there are 8 different “tones” to 040, correct? There is a full gradient from cream to crisp. You can see it in the scoops, flares, trim pieces and bits and bobs. It all depends on what batch and temperature you get. But, that why I like white, they are the easiest to keep dirty.

Naw, nothing like that. I just used to work for Toyota for a little bit. Plus, I’m a wonk and like to get into the weeds on just about everything I find interesting.
