Has anyone done the big three upgrade on a third gen yet? I can’t seem to find any information for 3rd gens. I’m slowly upgrading my electrical system, and would like to do this next. Any info would be appreciated, a parts list is really the first thing I’m looking for.

I haven't seen a specific kit for 3rd gen Tacos, you might be better off going to West Marine and getting the supplies for custom length cables. West Marine really is a great place...

Edit: The easiest first set of cables to upgrade would be the two ground cables you most likely have attached engine and another ground cable that is most likely between the transmission and body or frame:

I think I’ll prob end up making my own. I’ve already got most of the tools If anyone else wants me to build a set I can do it for just the cost of materials. Buuuuut we need a parts list haha. I guess I could figure it out myself if I understood the mod better. It’s basically adding a larger alternator to battery cable, battery to ground cable, and.... I’m not sure what else haha

I doubt that anyone has the exact cable lengths you would need measured out. I guess the lugs you use depend on the cable size and new battery terminals you get. As far as the ground cable goes, there should be more than just the one from the battery to body/frame. Hey just think, you might be a pioneer for this on the 3rd gen.

It's a very common upgrade in the world of high powered audio systems, but every vehicle can benefit from better grounding and more efficient charging.

EDIT: I should add that in our world, it's more common to be useful for overlanding vehicles, those with a lot of electrical accessories, and/or even just a high load accessory like a winch. It certainly can't hurt anything and doesn't cost very much if you're a DIY'er.
