Really hoping someone can help me out here, my Tacoma recently starting making this real weird noise from underneath sounds like it’s in the center of the truck it almost sounds like clutch chatter but it’s only when driving, especially in 3rd going 25-30mph and giving it some gas. My driveshaft was all messed up so I figured that was it so I got that fixed and it’s still making the same noise. Please help!

Check for any loose or bent shielding around the catalytic converters and exhaust. Could be a harmonic vibration when you are at the right rpms/speed.

OP did you ever figure out where your noise was coming from? If so I’d like to know. My Tacoma recently started making a strange noise similar to what you described. For me, it’s the most noticeable while in 4th and 5th gear at highway speeds and only while letting off the gas pedal and coasting. But if I give it even the slightest amount of gas the noise stops. I’ve read for hours and hours on multiple different threads about a similar issue/noise but have never seen a remedy.
