99 4runner milkshaked, what's the current risk with 2nd gen tacoma

    BITD everyone 'knew' that 98-02 4runners with auto would be better off replacing radiator at ten years or else you are very likely to get milkshaked.

    happened to me...atf cooler tube inside rad blew and ...got it -all- fixed after emptying wallet

    anyhow, with 2012 and up Tacoma, does anyone know the integrity of the radiator
    and risk of this happening, or should I automatically replace radiator in 2023
    just to be safe ? I am thinking replace it.

    Same crap everyone else got
    I never knew that was a 4runner issue. I know for a fact it is a nissan xterra issue bc i'ver personally dealt with it.

    I dont think i have seen a case of ye ole 1st gen taco / 3rd gen 4 runner style of milkshaking in the 2nd gen taco radiator.
