Falcon Shocks for Tacoma by TeraFlex - new suspension options for 2016+

That is good that you found it! I like the setup, but with the sound at the beginning it was making me wonder! Was happy to solve mine as well!

 

I have heard that you have to cut and enlarge the rear shock mount holes in order to install the Falcons. What doe that mean down the road in regards to installing something like Kings or Fox if you decide to? Is the shock mounting hole now too large to install other shocks?

 

You can install wheels spacers and avoid cutting, the large hole is not a big deal either, you can get universal shock mount bushings from energy that fit perfect in the larger hole. Not a big deal at all.

 

And you don’t need spacers with the correct offset wheels!

 

Did the ride get stiff after adding the leaf? Any significant difference with/out load in bed. Looking to add a leaf as well, instead of block.

 

The ride with the add a leaf is great, I haven’t noticed any downsides to running them. I haul stuff all the time and don’t have any issues.

 

I was thinking about same mod. Can you sent link to AAL you purchased. Can’t seem to find 1.5”

 

This is the one I bought, it gave me exactly 1.5 inches of lift. I didn’t use the factory overload leaf which I think added another 1/2 inch or so.

@Pablo8 I’ve got that setup. I have about 7K miles on them. I am a huge fan.

Just make sure you go ahead and replace the needle bearing when you are installing them, it’s an additional $70 that can save you $250.

I like my truck stance neutral with just a little lift. What do you run?

Had I known that on occasion the needle bearing will need to be replaced, then I would have just done it when they were doing everything. Having to do it afterwards cost me close to $300.

I'm also happy with mine. I've added a CBI T3 front bumper and a winch. So the fronts are set to max. The rears will be put to the test once my Drifter shows up which adds about 350-500 pounds to the bed. What is your application?

 

All I want to do is lift 1-2" and level with heavy loads

here's my setup working hard

 

I was looking to level the load on the front and the added weight on the back. Mule recommended the Falcon. I'm a little worried about the back after the Drifter gets added. I'll likely replace the springs.

Here’s a pic with about 700-800lbs of weight in the back. I’m on the middle setting on the rear shocks. I spent the day traveling around NF roads and never had an issue, even with all that weight in the back.
