Secured Lift spacer (Toytec).

    Heard that lift spacers can make for a bad ride but my +3" eibach front springs on my 5100s rode like garbage (how i got the truck). Decided to drop to the OME 880 but want more lift so i decided to get the toytec 3/4 spacers. Only reason I could see for bad ride quality with a spacer lift would be the slop of the spacer against the top plate bolts.

    To get rid of the spacer slop I used copper couplings for 1/4 tubing cut to size and sliced lengthwise to allow them to slip over the 10mm top plate bolts as they are just too small otherwise. I drilled both the top plate and spacers, tapped the spacers for m6 flathead bolts, and countersunk the spring side of the top plate.

    Just wanted to see if someone else has done similar and noticed a difference or if this is all unnecessary. Will update if something brakes

    i wouldn't think that is necessary, the clamping pressure would keep it from moving around. Same concept goes with how a rim mates to the hub... torque it down to specs and it shouldn't move.
