My truck got broken into by some dirtbag who broke the passenger window and took a chunk out of the door.

I took my truck to a body shop to get quotes for insurance. I asked for two quotes, one for just the window (to see if it was under my deductible of $250 and just pay out of pocket) and one for the window and door (if the window-only was around my deductible I figured I might as well file a claim for everything).

The window repair came to $350 (includes weatherseals) and the door/window was $1850 (yikes).
My truck is a beater and I don't really care about getting the door fixed. I'd even consider just fixing the window myself and just leaving it. Is there anyway to file a claim and cashout the insurance damage money?

Edit: I own the truck outright. Insurance is Geico in NC.

Yeah, just tell the insurance company you want a check instead of them paying a shop directly to do the work.

Thanks guys, so my insurance company is Geico and I went to a body shop that's in their network.
So the next steps would be to have the body shop send Geico the estimate then tell Geico I want a check for that estimate?

OK, that makes it more doable. That's all I've got.

Talk to your agent before making a claim...you may end up paying more than you will get in the long term if they bump your premium.

Here in MA glass coverage is mandatory to be covered. Tell Geico to spend 15 minutes with you and fix the window.
