Hey all, long time reader, first time poster. I have an 07 TRD w/ the V6. This morning my wife was on her way to work when all 4 of these lights randomly came on. She cycled the key a few times and drove it about 4 miles back home to swap for another truck and the lights are all still on. I've searched and found others with similar problems, but not this one exactly. Does anybody have an idea of what might be the problem?

These 4 are the only lights on. There doesn't seem to be any other kind of issues with the truck at all. No mods done to it at all. The last thing done more than just a normal oil/filter/tire rotation (3500 miles ago) was the frame replacement recall which was done last December.

Could be a bad ground, such as a loose negative battery cable. This was the case with my wife's 2016 CX-5. She called me on her way home from work saying that her car wouldn't hardly accelerate and there were all kinds of lights flashing. She made it home OK, but the car barely made it up the driveway. I popped the hood, the car idled fine, no over heating issues and an increase of RPM's was flawless. I killed the car and disconnected the positive cable on the battery for several minutes. Lights went away, so we took the car for a cruise. It ran perfect. The next morning she drives to work with no problem. On the way home that evening, she called saying her car was acting up again. WTF! While she's driving home I start googling the symptoms. Results are all over the place. When she gets home, I popped the hood and was ready to DC the positive cable again and somehow noticed the loose negative cable. I tightened it up and my life has been great since. I did find out that, at least with her make of car (Mazda) that when these lights start flashing the car will go into a "limp mode" which explains not being able to accelerate.

About a week later I went into my friendly neighborhood auto parts store and was telling one of the guys about my wife's car. Before I could finish he said that he gets people in all the time with the same symptoms and it's always a bad ground.

Hopefully this is the case with your truck.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked grounds and they are all good.

More info on the problem... The VSC light is flashing. I found in a few of the similar posts that suggested to unhook the battery to try a reset, that didn't work. Also to clean around the abs sensors, that didn't work. Checked wires into abs sensors, they all look fine.

Get the code read. But a faulty wheel speed sensor would be my 1st guess

Read thru the entire thread below. FJ Cruiser similar to 2nd Gen Tacoma. Not saying the answer to your problem is in this thread, but it's worth looking at. Interesting how many different solutions there were to this problem in the thread:

    https://www.fjcruiserforums.com/for...s-vsc-off-slip-indicator-vsc-trac-lights.html

AND...as Plain Jane Taco said, pull the codes, current, pending; permanent and post them here.

A good first step would be to check the brake fluid level in the reservoir and make sure it's not low. Other than that you really have to get the codes pulled in order to have a place to start

That was one of the things mentioned in the FJ Cruiser thread pointed to in post #5.

Thanks everybody for responding. Here's an update in case anybody tries using this thread for information in the future...... The fluid level was good so I took it into a local mechanic who tested it. His test showed right rear wheel speed sensor. Due to my working out of town most of the time I am having him order the part and install it today. Hopefully that fixes the issue, if not I'll update again once he figures it out.
