Hey guys, I have an 01 4 cyl. 5 speed. Having problems withclutch pedal . Soft pedal , tough getting in and out of gear and it will still move when clutch is to the floor. Got towed home.all symptoms seemed to lead to slave cyl. Other than nothing leaking.put new cyl. In and can't get the pedal to hold pressure. Bled it numerous times. I'm hearing an air leak when pumping pedal. Not sure if that's normal. I need some direction, any would be appreciate.

What did the fluid in master cyl look like before any fix? Did you replace the slave only? Did you adjust the pedal travel at the rod bracket? Need more input. History of vehicle. Previous repairs to pressure plate, disc or throw out bearing. Did you run the VIN# or get a car fax?

Clutch hydraulics should all be changed at the same time.

If you hear air leaking it must be your Master Cylinder only thing close enough to hear.

If that is drawing air nothing will get all the air out.

Another vote for the master cylinder, then bleed the whole system again.
Don't get a cheap one, I've read that they will just fail at some point. See if you can find an Aisin unit.
