Long time reader, first time poster! I benefited a lot from reading other people's reports on different areas so I figured I'd post up some pictures and info from a trip I did back in June. We drove from LA and basically went on the following route: St George, UT --> Bryce Canyon --> Escalante, UT --> Horseshoe Canyon --> Moab, UT --> Valley of the God's --> Grand Canyon, AZ --> St George, UT.

It's a pretty standard route from what I've heard people discuss, but my fiancee and I managed to take some 'off-the-beaten-path' detours that made it a little more interesting. We'll definitely be going back and hitting up more of the dirt roads, but this trip was an incredible start to exploring the area. If anyone is interested in the campsites we used, send me a message and I can show you the areas we used (almost entirely BLM and USFS land).

    Enjoy!

First night's arrival in Dixie National Forest was incredible after coming off of the crowded, bright California nights we were used to. Great start to the trip.
