Pretty much my dashcamera is hooked up to the wiring in the dome, which now created interference

I just finished the install and am having a small issue as well and can't figure it out. I plug everything up and instantly my driver side is on. I figured it's just turning on wait till I put everything back up and boom right side fades away after I lock but driver side is still on. I tried to swap connections on the a pillar and it just stayed the same. so I know it's not the harness now I believe it's the actual LED it's never turned off so It's disconnected now. I do have to say fit and finish is great! I think the LED itself might be jacked up I checked all connections and everything seems fine.

If when you swapped connections on the A pillar and it just did it to the other side, how is it an led issue? From that statement it switched from one led to the other. That would indicate harness to me.

Sorry I guess what I meant was that if I switch connections the driver still stays on and the passsenger side turns off. So that tells me it’s gotta be the led itself that has issue but none of the prongs were bent as well.

Make sure the wires are in the same order in the Connectors. One is probably out of place. That way you can identify the problem.

Figured it out the driver side harness was wired wrong. Easy fix just a little snip snip. I plugged the led directly to the split and it worked properly.

Installed, took me 1hr and 33mins to complete I am mechanically inclined though. I will say it wasn’t hard at all! The hardest part was the boot, I used a long flat head screwdriver and taped the wire to it and carefully pulled it trough using pliers on the outside of the boot to relieve the wire when it would snag, and honestly wasn’t even that hard took me about 2 minutes for each side. I also had to trim the passenger side (2017 sport double cab long bed) everything works as it should. I will add more pictures later tonight. Over all very happy with my 6th MESO mod.

    That’s probably a record....good job.
I’m mechanically inclined too. But car stuff always takes me longer.

Ha, 20min per side and done. However, a already had his V1 puddles so most wiring was done. :duel:

    Btw, nice job :hattip:

Saw all the post up taking 2 to 4 hours to install and was like no way it takes that long, I grew up working on cars and now I’m an aircraft mechanic plus I’ve already took the door panels off before for a speaker upgrade so I was familiar, I started a timer. 452135F1-F127-4259-B11C-22B269584BB6.jpg

Yea, his V1's were not plug n play but I also had to run the mirror ditch light wires. Since everything was already soldered in didnt feel like rewiring. V2's are definitely brighter and better color. Not sure how long it originally took. :notsure:
