My cousin asking me for advice on what kind kit he should get for his tacoma it is exactly what is listed in the title he wants a little bit of an agressive look but to retain smooth drivability and not cost too much.

I was thinking AAL in the back? spacers up front??

    any recomendations??

    thanks

What’s the budget? If aggressive is the goal you want go out not up.

image.jpg Go with Sal in the rear and blisteins in the front set at 1.55. This will give you an even approach with 265/75/16. Best drive ability for the third gen Any more lift and you could have issues with the front end boots and bearings

This with 16x8 Steelers 5.5 backspacing

If his 2 main goals are a level and smooth ride quality, he can swap the front shocks with Bilstein 5100s and the tears with the 4600s. Raise the front using the 5100s and the 4600s run great in place of the shitty Hitachis Sports run.

This is the exact set up I have on my 2018 Sport. The ride quality improves greatly.

I’d just go with taller tire if he wants the aggressive look. You say he wants to do it on a budget, I’d forgo the spacers. If he gets it done cheaply, he can experience vibrations at high speeds, handling issues, among other things. Adding a leaf spring may just cause too much bounce.

The shocks and new tires will be fine.
