I have a 2017 Tacoma Off Road that is actually 2WD. It currently has bilstien 5100 up front at the highest setting and a 1.5” block in the rear. It’s the first truck I have ever owned, I do not have any knowledge about suspension on trucks.

I have been trying to do a lot of research on what suspension set up might suit me the best for how I drive my truck. I still can’t really come to a conclusion on what I want to get. I am working with a decent budget I just don’t want to spend more then $2500-$3000 on parts and labor to have a shop install everything.

Main reason I got 2WD is because I commute about 30-40 mins each way to work everyday, have zero desire to take it 4 wheeling, will tow a boat but really thats the most aggressive thing this truck will be doing.

Right now i am extremely happy with the way my truck sits as far as height on my current wheel/tire set up. (Stock TRD pro wheels and Ridge Grapplers 285/75/16). I would even be ok if it was barely higher. I just feel like the ride quality feels “loose” to me if that makes sense. It’s pretty smooth but taking turns onto on and off ramps it feels pretty wobbly. I would like it to feel tighter but not lose ride quality if possible.

So I basically want to see if anyone has recommendations to give me a solid 2”-2.5” lift that will ride smooth for street. After reading a lot I am under the impression lifting your truck in anyway is going to make it ride worse, I just think it could be better then it is now and keep the height. Thank you for any input!

Id look into radflo as a potential option...don't know why they aren't more talked about but I have absolutely loved mine and for the money I think it's a great bang for your buck.

Also the new Elka stuff headstrong is offering was the other setup that looked interesting, but I was able to stay under $2000 for my setup.

Do you have any pics of your truck? Do you have the 2” or 2.5”?

I'll take some pictures tomorrow if I can remember to do it. I went with the 2.5". Resis in the back but just IFP in the front. I actually bought them through a company called Ishock via ebay. Was hesitant to do so but ended up being a great buy. Came with uniball UCA's as well for right around ~1900, valved by radflo for my setup. I haven't been in a truck with Kings, but have been in a couple tacomas with Icon suspension and I honestly prefer mine to the icons at least
