I really like this.. looks like one is sufficient

 

Looking back, wish I would have went this way. but I do like my setup, might change out to an amber lens though, looks sharp.

@bgreyc Just wanted to say I'm glad I found your post on a search as this is exactly what I'm looking to do on my truck. I live out in farm country in England atm and in the winters it's just ungodly dark all the time. When it's damp and rainy, visibility reversing up my unlit long gravel drive where I live is basically zero and the stock reverse lights just don't cut it. I have a set of S2 Sport's for hood mount lights and really like em, so went hunting to see if anyone had done what you did with the flush mount versions on the back. Do you by chance have a picture of what it looks like up in behind the bumper there? Is there any sort of metal bumper support behind, or is it pretty open and clear? Sorry, I know there's probably gonna be someone reads this and goes "what a lazy sh*t, just go stick your head under the back and look" but it's raining and dark and nasty out the last few days and don't feel like crawling around in that.

As an aside, where did you get your carbon fiber effect tailgate letter fillers from? Kinda diggin' those.

 

I went this route after the Full "C" brake light mod. The Rigid Flush Mount is my only reverse light and it works very well:

I dont have any Pictures from inside/behind the bumper, but I did get lucky and cut in an open area. there is a little grinding to do inside, on the plastic supports, but overall it was a very quick and easy installation.

 

I am up early a lot camping/fishing etc. I also installed some KC Rock lights on the lift gate of my shell. installed a switch just inside so I have light for rigging or cooking.





this along with my S2's in the back give me plenty of light.

I do a bunch of night skiing at the local xc trails - wanted something that would let me turn it on and off while getting skis in/out of the back and waxing sessions on the tailgate.. I went with BD again (lol- I don't have a problem, I can quit anytime!) and put a dome light on the side just inside the box;

 

Adding to an old post here... Rigid ignite. Wired to reverse lights. Great output for small lights. It really helps light up the boat launch when pulling my little river boat out after sunset. Ignition on, manual trans in reverse works good enough for me as a switch.

 

Looks Sharp. After I installed these on the glass, I have recently changed my mind and I am going to move them up to the hinge side of the door. I will send pics when done. these are really nice in the area, if I am inside sleeping, I can flip them on for some pretty good light, but I think they will be even better up by the hinges.

I have the same problem with the BD lights. have them on the front, Ditches and sides as well.





when I can afford one, I will also replace my Rack Bar with a BD. But might be a while. I just spent another $1k rewiring everything and installing a switch pod in Cab. My Wife has cut me off.

 

I know this is way out of line on this thread, but here is my favorite modification so far. Allows me to get to my Rods from my Windoor! need to figure a way to light them also.

 

Awesome love it. I've been soley using a one piece rod lately, so it lives in the cabin when I fish
